Has the situation regarding key skills in pre-16 education been resolved?

Yes, from September 2000 students who are under the age of 16 are able to take the key skills of Application of Number, Communication and ICT. Pupils are able to gain qualifications in each of the three key skills if they pass the internal and external assessment components.
